IN EVERY JOURNEY (LOVE IS THE DESTINATION), 2024

In collaboration with SEA Milan Airports, and the MA*GA Museum, and as part of the curatorial project WOW! – Worlds of Wonder.

In Every Journey accompanies travelers as they depart. Each panel in the site-specific installation corresponds to a letter in the phrase “Love is the destination,” which emerges through the optical vibration of a black and iridescent pattern. The title of the installation completes its meaning.

A wish, a message, but also a social statement—valid, as the artist notes, “for any journey undertaken, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual”—with love seen as “a driving force of human existence.”

The inspiration for the work comes from the typical airport boards that indicate the status of flights, with rows of flip-cards displaying real-time departure and arrival information. Each card contains a letter or number that together form destinations or flight times. In the artwork, each individual panel represents one of these cards, with the letters of the phrase “Love is the destination” arranged in a similar fashion. This evokes the idea of movement and transience, transforming functional information into a visual and aesthetic experience that celebrates love as the ultimate destination.
