GOD SAVE THE QUEEN (Limited edition of 74)
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, Andrea Crespi, 2023
LIMITED EDITION OF 74 (Frame included)
WHY LIMITED EDITION OF 74?
1974 the store changed its name to "Sex": the store's interior walls were decorated with pornographic graffiti and began selling fetish clothing.
Westwood says her clothing at the time was considered scandalous, but wearing it made her feel "like a princess from another planet."
Westwood and McLaren's store, at 430 King's Road in London, has changed its name several times over the years: each different name corresponds to a different style adopted by Westwood for his garments. From 1971 to 1974 the store was called "Let it Rock."
